Our Kitchen

Our meal preparation and delivery service has been designed to fit into the requirements of NDIS and HCP support packages. When you place an order, you will be issued with a detailed invoice that outlines preparation and delivery costs, seperate to ingredient costs, to make claiming reimbursement simple.

As a guide, NDIS home care funding generally covers $11 of the $15-$16 costs of our main meals, and $7 of the $10 cost of our soups. The gap you pay is the cost of our quality ingredients. We think what you put into your body is the most important investment you can make.

I’m Sally. I’ve been running a catering business for the last 5 or so years and have been flat out on a journey to make wholesome, delicious food more accessible. Food Direct is my latest creation. I hope you enjoy it!

Cathy Fensom

Kitchen Manager

Cathy holds this place together. She runs the cooking schedules and organises what goes on in the kitchen. Cathy used to have her own shop Forks and Corks in Rutherglen with her hubby Steve… so is all over this shop business. She is a beautiful cook and we are lucky to have her.

Wesam Khadour

We call Wesam the machine! He is the master pie maker, lasagne king and general amazing all rounder. We are lucky he found us.

Riley McDonald

Riley is a ripper. He is kinda on COVID loan from a few other places but lets hope he forgets about that and just keeps turning up! Riley’s passion is fermentation and making spicy bottles of goodness. Fingers crossed we will have a few of his products on our shelves in the coming months.
